Archaeologists were the heroes and adventurers of the early 20th Century. Their finds fired the imaginations of artists and writers, influencing the design aesthetic of the era. 1930s fashion incorporate many of these exotic influences. This vintage 1930s Miriam Haskell bib necklace and bracelet suite is a perfect example of the influence of discoveries made in far-away lands on the fashion of the 1930s.

Ridged oval links join together hollow brass bulbs. Make a lovely subtle noise, but they’re not bells. Bracelet is slightly darker than necklace. A unique set that came from the estate of a woman whose family traveled the world; her collection included many Asian and Middle Eastern pieces. Bracelet is missing one dangle – should you wish to, moving one from near the clasp is an option, but by no means necessary – nobody will notice.
