A 1930s wedding is the perfect choice for those choosing a vintage and elegant wedding theme. Whether selecting a ‘new’ Art Deco wedding dress or if you’re lucky enough to find an original (that fits!), what better way to keep all of the elements tied together from top to bottom than a vintage cake topper?

Vintage cake toppers – the secret of passionate collectors is out, and no thanks to Penny Henderson and her Vintage Wedding Cake Toppers, published by Schiffer. Early cake toppers were constructed of food and edible products therefore are the rarest. Mid-20th Century plastic couples on trellises are not uncommon, but finding an attractive couple can be a vexing task. Quite honestly, vintage wedding cake toppers from the 1920s – 1940s usually have rather gruesome faces.

This pristine vintage Art Deco cake topper was made in Japan by Napco, and is numbered 3B3300. The fair-haired couple – with truly beautiful visages – have coordinated boutonniere and bouquet. For added charm they stand on a heart-shaped base.
